A 29-year-old Trangie man has been killed in a single vehicle accident on the Mitchell Highway at Narromine on Sunday morning.
About 5.50am on Sunday morning a Toyota Hilux was travelling west on the Mitchell, eight kilometres west of sixth avenue when the vehicle left the road and struck a tree.
The 29-year-old was a passenger in the vehicle and died at the scene.
The driver, a 19-year-old man, was taken to Narromine Hospital for mandatory blood and urine tests, then to Dubbo Base Hospital for further medical assessment.
Police from Orana Local Area Command are conducting inquiries into the incident.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
