The 2018 Theatre Season Launch will be held at the Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre on Sunday, November 26 at 1pm.

The shows for the new year will be revealed by DRTCC manager Linda Christof and her team.

“The Season Launch ticks all the boxes; it’s a matinee, a variety concert with singing, dancing and Big Band numbers, followed by a drink and nibblies. All of this for just $25 a ticket and free if you are a 2017 subscriber,” Ms Christof said.

“Everyone also has the chance to win the lucky door prize of a $500 Gift Voucher to splash out on the 2018 Theatre Season for yourself and someone special.”

The season theme has remained top secret and the line-up of world-class productions has been kept under heavy wraps for the past 18 months.

The theme for 2017 was ‘creating memories’. It included shows such as the Russian ballet, Mr Stink and Reception the Musical. The year before the theme was ‘immerse yourself’ while before that it was ‘shake things up’.

The launch will include live entertainment, insights and refreshments. 

Attendees will catch the Mighty Big Band celebrating their 10 year anniversary, as well as renowned guest entertainers from Sydney and exclusive, sneak-peek footage of 2018’s season shows.

Ms Christof will also share her tips on how to purchase discount tickets and a brand new initiative starting for those who don’t like to go to the theatre alone.

The 2018 season will be packed with musicals, drama, comedy, concerts, dance and must-see children’s shows. The season program includes local, national and international productions so there will definitely be something for everyone.

The launch is not an exclusive event for subscribers and patrons, although they are always quick to buy their tickets to the event. It is an open curtain for the entire community, as the Dubbo Regional Theatre warmly invites everyone to indulge in the theatrical masterpieces heading our way in 2018.
