The newly crowned “baby rhinos” in business, the Channel 40 team, are looking forward to 2018 after an amazing year saw them awarded the Start Up Superstars at the Regional Australia Bank Rhino Awards.
Channel 40 has been established and developed in Dubbo and as one of Australia’s fastest and most advanced online freight management platforms and is changing the way freight is moved across the country.
Having only been in business since January 2017, Channel 40 is fighting for a share of the $63 billion industry and is making strong inroads.
It is estimated that nine out of ten start up businesses fail within the first 12 months however Channel 40 have already facilitated more than $2 million in revenue for truck drivers and founder Tom Cavanagh is proud of the work his team is doing.
“We’ve attracted more than 7000 users, with most drivers having received payment within 48 hours of completing the job. We’re extremely proud of that - it’s a first for the industry,” Tom said.
With an extensive background in the freight industry, Tom believes the key to their rapid rise has been a combination of the unique way they connect freight owners to truck drivers along with the innovative solutions they provide including the latest technology, load tracking and even facilitating payment transactions.
“It’s been an exciting year. This Rhino Award win is the icing on the cake,” he said.
