That’s exactly what the Mudfords did during last week’s rain.
Crystal Mudford said the 44.5 millimetres of rain they had at their 4500 acre farm near Gilgandra at the weekend was the most rainfall they had had since September last year.
Unfortunately the rain was “too little too late” for their crops, Ms Mudford said. However she said the family was staying positive. Ms Mudford said she was hoping more rain would allow them to plant summer crops.
For four-year-old Tex, two-year-old Pearl and 10-month-old Alfie the rain was simply a fun thing for them to play in.
Ms Mudford said the family was checking the mail when they wound up splashing and playing in the puddles instead, leaving the kid’s clothes, faces and hair splattered in mud.
When she saw the playful shot on Facebook, family friend Emelia Wall said it was too good not to share with the Daily Liberal.
