State Member for Barwon Kevin Humphries has praised the apprentice plumber and his decision to undertake a Vocational Education and Training (VET) course.
He said Mr Dundas had “excelled at his trade”. “Donald prides himself in providing quality work and being a leader in his community,” Mr Humphries said.
“He has worked with local youth in boxing and sees himself as a role model for both Indigenous and non-Indigenous youth. He’s also a natural leader and proud family man.”
Mr Humphries also highlighted the “vital service” that GTOs provided to the NSW VET sector.
“GTOs place apprentices with suitable host employers and this is critical to the state’s successful VET system,” he said.
Mr Humphries said about 78 per cent of VET graduates gained employment after training compared to 69 per cent of university graduates.
