Her business Daily Scoop at Majo’s, which she and husband Adam started just two years ago, took out the Excellence in Customer Service Award, as well as the People’s Choice Award for Dubbo’s favourite business, at the Dubbo business community’s night of nights.
“Overwhelming,” she said on Tuesday. “Even though we were a finalist, we didn’t expect to win in the first two years!”
The couple launched the whole food business in October 2015, and Jo thanked friends, family and customers alike for their support.
“We’d like to thank anybody that has helped us. Small business is very hard to start out in and we’ve had great support from family and friends,” Jo said.
“We knew it would be a hard road but … to win the People’s Choice most popular business showed that the community embraced what we’re doing. The customers are the most important thing because without them we wouldn’t have a business, so it’s great to have [their] support.”
