Fresh from performing well at the National Under-17s Championships, the 16-year-old Dubbo College student has created an amazing record.
On Thursday he starred for the College’s side in the CHS competition, belting 206 as his side made 5-283 against Wellington.
In reply, Wellington was bowled out for just 45 with Will Grant taking the excellent figures of 4-18.
Usually those figures would be enough to earn man-of-the-match honours, but this was no ordinary match.
A post on the Dubbo College Facebook page stated that Larance’s score is believed to be a competition record and the highest ever score by a student from a Dubbo high school since the inception of the competition some 40 years ago.
Thursday’s win has set Dubbo College on a collision course with Orange High School in round three.
