The free event, which will be run in what the club has stated in a fun and safe environment, will run for four hours from 8am with everyone and anyone welcome to bring their bike along.

Bikes will then be correctly sized and equipment will be inspected for comfort and safety.

Track bikes will be supplied for people who wish to try the fixed wheel bikes most commonly used on the track.

A sausage sizzle will be held and there will also be volunteers available to assist and to answer any questions people may have about the sport and the benefits of this healthy life choice.

It is also a good opportunity to meet Dubbo’s current Australian champions and have a look and hold of the swag of medals they have won in the past 12 months.

Included is the entire podium of the under 15 Australian Sprint Titles will be there with Dylan Eather and Danny Barber from Dubbo to be joined by Max Leiner from Victoria.

Their hi-tech bikes will be on show, while leading coaches will also be in attendance.

“Cycling for the very young is the first real sense of mobile independence and very quickly teaches the youngest of us all that balance and spatial awareness while having lots of fun,” Dubbo Cycle Club president Matthew Gilbert said.

“Past members are most welcome to reminisce and talk to the historical members to be included in events in the future. All are welcome, even if your still on your training wheels. Anyone can give it a try and roll around and have a chat to the best in Australia.”
