Special guest at the event will be actor Andrew Daddo who will speak of his experience of raising three children.
The annual event celebrates the “important role that men play within the family”.
Uniting spokeswoman in Dubbo Kathy Lambert has told of the benefits to children of bonding with their fathers.
“Fathers caring for and playing with their children builds attachment, increasing the child’s ability to thrive, their feeling of security and well-being within their world,” she said.
“In celebrating this bond, the festival brings together organisations, services, interest groups and entertainment relevant to fathers, their children and families within our community.”
The festival will run from 10am to 2pm with entertainment including a snake show and children’s rides.
Every child will get a free ball “while stocks last”.
Admission is free.
