A set of World War II medals belonging to William Oldham Smith was taken in the robbery.

Tasmanian Police are yet to charge anyone in relation to the August 13 robbery where medals from both World Wars, bayonets, pins, military uniform, flags and badges were stolen.
The incident angered the West Coast community, with mayor Phil Vickers describing it as “disgusting” and “despicable”.
