The Orana Local Area Command will receive four new probationary police constables from the class sworn in on Friday at the Goulburn Police Academy.
The four new cops will start their duties at Dubbo on Monday.
The two male and two female officers will have to complete a 12-month probationary period.
During that time they will have to complete on-the-job training with experienced officers, as well as having to complete assignments for the academy.
The probationers will eventually see duty at the sectors of Narromine, Gilgandra and Wellington.
The community always benefited when police numbers were increased and over the years the Orana command had been the training ground for many new probationers as they started their careers, Inspector Dan Skelly said.
"It always great to have fresh new police join the ranks, they bring with them enthusiasm, and a zest for learning, that renews the energy in the workplace,” he said.
“They are brimming with ideals and aspirations to make a positive difference in the community, a refreshing reminder to experienced police as to why they joined years before.
“The probationers come freshly trained from the academy and now it's up to our experienced police, that will ‘buddie’ up with them, to ensure that their training is correctly applied within the community."
The NSW Police Force welcomed 226 new probationary constables and six new police dogs at a ceremony at the Police Academy in Goulburn on Friday.
‘Class 331’ includes 166 policemen and 60 policewomen.
Minister for Police and Dubbo MP Troy Grant was also in attendance to see the new recruits off the parade ground.
“Our men and women in blue encounter the very best and worst of humanity in the line of duty, and the NSW Police family will be there to encourage and support our newest recruits as they embark on the next stage of their careers,” Mr Grant said.
