The Central West was dusted by snow on Friday, with Oberon and surrounding towns and localities receiving most of the snow fall.

Shooters Hill, Edeth Jenolan Caves, Porters Retreat and Black Springs all received snow, yet struggled to settle.

Snow was able to settle in small sheltered areas, but most snow had melted by the afternoon.

While snow fell on-and-off in Oberon snow struggled to settle because of a rain-soaked surface.
