Dubbo’s One Eye Film Festival is going from strength to strength and in November its fifth annual event will take place.
It was launched by the Dubbo Filmmakers to give local filmmakers an opportunity to have an audience for their works, thanks to Western Plains Cultural Centre and energetic volunteers.
Entries are open until October for short films (up to seven minutes) to be considered for the festival.
“Entry is free and it’s not a competition,” Dubbo Filmmakers member Erifili Davis said.
This year the group is seeking financial support.
“The One Eye Film Festival has depended on a very small group of volunteers who have basically paid for any expenses out of their own pocket,” Mrs Davis said.
“We’re hoping to raise some money to market and resource the 2017 festival and raise the profile of Dubbo filmmakers beyond our local area, and donations $2 or over are tax deductible,” Mrs Davis said.
