The IMF is a health education initiative to promote running and healthy lifestyles in Indigenous communities. Dubbo Stampede president Rod Campbell said the event would once again be making a financial donation to the IMF, which was made possible due to the high number of participants the Stampede receives every year.
IMF director and world champion marathon runner Rob de Castella said the Stampede was a great way to encourage running in regional Australia.
“The IMF is thrilled to again be partnered with the Dubbo Stampede. It is a wonderful event, set in a unique and spectacular environment, and the community involvement is what IMF is about,” Mr de Castella said.
“We both use running to celebrate good health, wellbeing and strong community spirit.”
Mr de Castella said he encouraged everyone to get out and participate.
