With a strong north westerly headwind for the first half of the course, Eather (+27.30 minutes) sprinted clear of Chris Couper (+27.30 minutes) to take the top spot on the podium, with fellow A-graders Tim Hines (+27.30 minutes), Jason Farr (+26 minutes) and Mike Ticehurst (+27.30 minutes) filling the top five. Adam Mitchell (+27.30 minutes), David Gerrish (+26 minutes), Dylan Eather (+26 minutes), Darrell Wheeler (+23 minutes), Nigel Christmas (+19 minutes), Craig May (+25 minutes), Danny Barber (+26 minutes), Sarah Gordon (+16 minutes), Simone Grounds (+23 minutes) and Julia Mannix (+16 minutes) finished sixth to 15th.

Eather recorded the fastest time with 53 minutes 22.970 seconds (41.70m/hour) for the 37.1km course, while Simone Grounds chalked up the fastest female time with 1 hour 1 minute 11.094 seconds (average speed 36.38 km/h).

With three weeks of racing left in the Dubbo City Toyota Road Racing Series, youngster Lachie Clark sits atop of the overall standings on 330 points, while Brodie Wheeler is 21 points in arrears in second, with Darrell Wheeler (285) in third, Chris Couper (277) in fourth and Trent Hines (274) in fifth. Jess Fuller (232) has a solid 23-point lead in the Dubbo City Toyota Junior Road Racing Series ahead of Makayla Fuller (209), with Joe O’Brien (204), Imogen Fuller (180) and Georgia Farr (152) filling the top five placings. Round 15 of the Dubbo City Toyota Road Racing Series continues this Saturday, with a 12km individual time trial on the Terrabella TT course, while the Dubbo City Toyota Junior Road Racing Series will take place on Sunday on the Sheraton Road course.

Dubbo Cycle Club will have a healthy representation of strong chances at this weekend’s NSW Junior Road Championships in Wagga.

Riders will contest the individual time trial championship on Saturday morning, the road race championship on Saturday afternoon and the criterium championship on Sunday.

Danny Barber, Luke Ensor, Dylan and Kurt Eather, Mitch, Trent and Emily Hines and Imogen, Makayla, Zac, Zara and Haylee Fuller will contest the event and are all in strong form.

The all-conquering Eather brothers will be very tough to beat in their respective age groups, equally Barber, who was the impressive winner of the recent Hunter Junior Tour along with Haylee Fuller, who ranks as the state’s best under-15 female rider.

Ensor was the winner of the under-17 state road race last season and will look to go back-to-back, while Zara, Zac, Imogen and Makayla Fuller will be podium chances in their respective age groups, along with the Hines trio, including youngest sibling Emily, who is already a junior state track champion.

Senior road racing Saturday August 12 will be a 12km time trial on the Terrabella TT course. Start and assemble point is approx 2km west of the intersection of Arthurville Rd and Terrabella Road. Sign on between 1.45pm and 2.00pm for a 2.15pm start.
