Garry Lunn, Connie Greig, Brian Young and Justin Stanley have all nominated for the $30,000 Forbes Cup, with 18 chances in total put forward.
Lunn has nominated Kingtantes and Samikosho while Connie Greig has put forward last start winner Samikosho, Young has named Laugharne and Justin Stanley’s consistent Something Borrowed is also in the running.
There was a number of high profile nominations, as always, with Zarlu, the defending champion of the Forbes Cup, nominated by Wagga trainer Peter Morgan to defend his crown.
Fellow Wagga-based trainer Chris Heywood put forward his highly-rated Parkes Cup winner Leucura while the in-form Cameron Crockett has Letchworth in the running for a start.
The final fields for Monday’s eight-race meeting will be released on Friday.
