Proving a resilient performer for the Brett Thompson stable at Gulgong, More Than Art has also won at Cobar, Brewarrina and Parkes during the current 10-start campaign.
With Dubbo apprentice Chris Williams in the saddle at Coonabarabran, More Than Art ($6), led for home and after being strongly challenged kicked away for a convincing win from Rockatorio (Rachael Murray, $6.50) and Flying By (Alena Skerritt, $6).
Sacked and given away for free by the previous owners including rugby league identities Ricky Stuart and Laurie Daley, Suman The Yak has since won two races for Narromine trainer Kylie Kennedy and her partner Ricky Blewitt.
Leading most of the way in the Arthur Norton Mobile Mechanic Class 1 Plate (1600m) at Coonabarabran, the $41 outsider, ridden by Jake Pracey-Holmes, was too good for Unique Shadow (Rachael Murray, $5) and Pedro's Zariz (Chris Williams, $5).
Sold after starting the career with four unplaced starts in Victoria, three year old filly Tattinger is going well for new trainer Grame Brooker from Baradine, who travels to work his horses on the Coonabarabran track.
After a first up second for Brooker at Moree, Tattinger (Leanne Henry, $5) broke clear to win the David Aarts Earthmoving Maiden Handicap (900m) from Manhattan Monty (Greg Ryan, $9.50) and Capnicconi (Tony Cavallo, $2.40 favourite).
First leg of winning double for jockey Leanne Henry was Make Some Moolah ($3.80) for Scone trainer David Rabbett in the Jack's Hire Service Maiden Plate (1200m).
Other winners were Michelle Fleming’s Cash To Splash (Greg Ryan, $11) and Ausbred Petal (Tony Cavallo, $6), coming off a last start Maiden Handicap win for Dubbo trainer Connie Greig.
