Its executive director of medical services, Dr Clayton Spencer, is also highlighting top-notch training.
The annual recruitment of JMOs is under way with applications invited from doctors with at least one year of postgraduate work experience. “This is a fantastic opportunity for doctors to train in a range of specialties in world-class public hospitals across NSW,” Dr Spencer said. “Junior Medical Officers will have the chance to train in rotations across different specialty teams and clinical environments with placements in metropolitan, regional and rural areas. “I’d encourage applicants to consider rural and regional positions which combine wonderful lifestyle opportunities while providing world-class specialist training in a range of clinical settings.” The 2017/2018 state budget has funded a medical oncology training position at Orange and a general medicine training position at Dubbo.
