Dubbo Regional Council administrator Michael Kneipp is encouraging participation in the event that begins on August 18 with a “welcome dinner” at Hermitage Hill.
“On August 19 the bicentenary celebrations continue in earnest when Cameron Park will be transformed with markets, Wiradjuri dancers from local schools, re-enactments, free bus tours to Wellington Caves and Lake Burrendong, free Cobb and Co Coach rides, carousel rides, jumping castle, live entertainment and much more,” he said. “The MC on the day will be Tim Gilbert from Channel Nine’s Today Show and renowned Australian actor Max Cullen, who was born in Wellington, will be a special guest.”
Tickets to the dinner are available from the Wellington Visitor Information Centre, with a percentage of the proceeds to be donated to the Wellington hospital.
