Conrad Etchi capped off his stellar Waratah State League season by being presented with the Graham Fardell Medal at the Dubbo Rams presentation night on Saturday.

Held at the Castlereagh Hotel, the night recognised those both senior and junior who had starred during the 2017 season.
There was a host of awards given out on the night but Etchi, unsurprisingly, picked up one of the major ones.
The Graham Fardell Medal, named after the winning captain of the first Rams team in the State League series in 1984 and former Australian under 20s player, is awarded to not only someone who starred on the court but also contributed to the game on other levels.
Etchi was an easy choice as his stunning form for the Rams, he finishes the year as one of the competition’s leading scorers, while he has also taken part on countless junior seminars in Dubbo and around the region.
Shayne Brown picked up the award for the standout player during the Waratah State League season, the award given to a local rather than Etchi, while Dubbo Basketball Association president Jodi Carrett was a worthy winner of the Clubperson of the Year award.
“She definitely helped Dubbo Basketball this year,” Rams player-coach Damien Reid said of Carrett.
As well as president, Carrett was also the Rams’ team manager while she also did a huge amount of organising of both senior and junior competitions.
