About 80 people attended ‘The Winter Garden’ fundraiser held by the Dubbo Pink and White Committee for Guide Dogs NSW/ACT.
It took place in two local gardens over two days at the weekend.
Melbourne-based Diana Fickling, a committee member of the Victorian Rose Society, gave a rose pruning demonstration to guests.
Karyl-Lee Callaghan from Magnolia Nursery shared her ideas for incorporating perennials in a rose garden that were suitable for the Dubbo region.
Committee coordinator Kimberley Kerr said the event had enjoyed fabulous support.
Guests on both days had asked questions, and also enjoyed afternoon teas and a chance to mingle.
Secretary Jenny White said it was the first time they had held ‘The Winter Garden’ event, and always tried to find something different for their annual fundraiser.
