Williams had Thin Ice take out the Cowra Cup Sunday 21st January 2018 Maiden Plate (1200m) and Dapperized salute in the National Jockey’s Trust Luncheon Randwick Sept 2nd Class 2 Handicap (1375m).
Thin Ice was considered a $21 outsider after finishing fifth in Bathurst but the three-year-old filly led home Vicissitudes and Stormborn Angel for the win.
Jockey Allan Chau guided home both of Williams’ winners, while jockeys Bradley Vale and Chelsea Ings also finished with doubles.
Yass trainer Allan McRae was another to end the day with two victories,with Sarona Downs and Valorhesse.
