Six (hopefully seven) wins on the court and a renewed interest in the sport has things heading in a positive direction from juniors right through to the seniors.
“There’s been so much interest this year,” Carrett said.
“Conrad (Etchi) has created a lot of that but he has really made the other boys step up and you can see how much they’re enjoying it.
“Guys like Damien Reid, Michael Bonney, Shayne Brown. They were there when things weren’t great, now they’re getting a lot out of their basketball.
“To go from where we were to where we are has been amazing. Club morale is through the roof and everyone is just so excited.
“In a way it’s sad that it’s ending on Saturday but it has been a great season.”
With Etchi returning to the United States next Saturday, Carrett said the off-season will be spent trying to figure out a plan to get him back.
