The specially scheduled party train will leave Sydney for Broken Hill early on September 7 and will stop at selected regional stations along the way to transport those with a penchant for Australian outback adventure, colour and fun, ‘Priscilla’ style.
True to festival form, the train has been dubbed the ‘Silver City Stilleto’.
The service will include its own resident drag queen Maude Boate to entertain the wound-up wanderers.
Festival Director, Esther LaRovere said the dedicated train service was a great show of support for Broken Heel.
“This is a real win for the Festival,” Esther said.
“We’re getting more interest every year, and to be able to offer all those Queens and partygoers from Sydney to Parkes and all places in between an economic and entertaining option to get to Broken Heel is fantastic.
“We’ve had interest from people throughout that region so now we can say, ‘get on board’ quite literally!”
The NSW TrainLink Silver City Stiletto will leave Central Station in Sydney early Thursday, September 7, stopping at Strathfield, Parramatta, Katoomba, Lithgow, Bathurst, Orange and Parkes.
Festival travellers will be able to buy a travel/entertainment package for the three-day festival.
