The Lindley family is counting down to the State of Origin decider that kicks off on Wednesday night.
Connor, 13, Hayden, 12, Declan, 11, and Rory, 10, firmly believe their team can prevail over Queensland to take the series 2-1.
The boys, who all play for the St John’s Junior Rugby League club, are hoping NSW can triumph at Suncorp after losing game two at home to the Maroons.
They’re holding on to that belief, despite close family and friends letting the side down.
The family reports ‘Mama Penny’ and ‘Papa’ Mick like Queensland captain Cameron Smith, while some teammates support the Maroons, despite spending their lives south of the border.
“Whenever NSW wins we just keep bragging to them,” Hayden said.
On Monday, decked out in team colours, Connor and Rory predicted NSW would win by six points, while Hayden and Declan were hopeful of a 10-point margin.
