According to the latest information based on the Australian Bureau of Statistics 2016 Census, the median weekly wage in Dubbo is above the NSW ($664) and national ($662) medians.
The statistics cover all working people from the age of 15, which includes those in casual, part- and full-time work.
Dubbo workers bring home more each week ($691) than counterparts in Orange ($661) and Bathurst employees, who receive $598 on pay day.
Median weekly incomes in the Central West were: Dubbo: $691; Orange: $661; Bogan: $634; Mudgee: $623; Bathurst: $598; Narromine: $586; Parkes: $582; Forbes: $552; Lithgow: $495; and Wellington: $481.
Of the smaller centres, Bogan Shire showed the biggest wage gains from 2011 with 20.9 per cent followed by Narromine on 19 per cent and Wellington on 18.76 per cent.
