A teenager has died and other is in hospital following a single-vehicle crash near Trangie this morning.

Emergency services were called to the Mitchell Highway near Trangie about 5.45am after reports an eastbound car had left the roadway and hit a tree head-on.
The passenger, a 19-year-old man was taken to Dubbo Base Hospital by NSW Ambulance paramedics but the 17-year-old driver was trapped for some time.
Once released, he was taken to Narromine airport to be airlifted to hospital, however died en route.
Officers from Orana Local Area Command attended and are continuing inquiries into the cause of the crash.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
