About 6:50am members of Orana Highway Patrol were conducting speed enforcement on the Goolma Road outside of Wellington, an area with a speed limit of 100km/h.
Police observed one vehicle overtaking another and travelling well above the speed limit as it travelled east. A check was conducted on Lidar, detecting the vehicle accelerating up to 155km/h.
A short time later the Bathurst male driver was stopped and issued an over 45km/h infringement ($2350) carrying six demerit points. His New South Wales drivers license was suspended for six months.
