The open day was a chance for potential students to look around the campus, talk to the teachers and get a hands on feel for what was available, student liaison officer Brigid Palin said.
Ms Palin said she was happy with the turnout to the open day.
It allowed potential students to learn more about the organisation in a relaxed atmosphere, she said.
Students created stop motion movies, had free blood pressure checks and did sand therapy. There were demonstrations from the various industries represented and prizes given away.
Dubbo College team leader Sally Bridle said TAFE provided skills for today’s jobs and future careers.
The Open Day forms part of TAFE NSW Open Week, where 130 TAFE NSW locations across the state will collectively highlight their extensive facilities, course offerings, employer partnerships, world-class training and technology.
Potential TAFE students on Friday were also able to have a free sausage sandwich.
