Police investigations are continuing into an accident on the Mitchell Highway near Narromine on Tuesday morning.

About 8.30am emergency services were called to the scene, and on arrival found two vehicles had collided at high speed.
The 27-year-old female driver of a Ford Fiesta, had allegedly turned left onto the Mitchell Highway from High Park Road, while at the same time a Toyota Landcruiser being driven by a 63-year-old woman was travelling east on the highway.
The vehicles collided, with the front of the Toyota impacting heavily with the driver’s side of the Ford.
The driver of the Ford was extracted from her vehicle by emergency services and conveyed to hospital, however after waiting for X-rays she was released. The driver and passenger in the Toyota were un-injured.
“Our investigations are continuing, and we will interview the parties involved, but we still urge anyone who witnessed the crash to contact Dubbo Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000,” Acting Superintendent Scott Tanner said.
