Dubbo’s Everingham, a Formula 4 winner, finished as the Class C winner with his #31 Osborne Motorsport Renault Megane.
That came despite the car being forced to retire before Saturday’s racing even began, coming to a stop on the formation lap with a computer failure.
During Sunday’s racing, the car sustained some early damage but Everingham was able to make a move following a late safety car and overtake for the class win.
Everingham shared the driving with Michael Almond, who finished fifth overall, and the more senior of the duo heaped praise on the Dubbo young gun.
“(Tyler) is fantastic, he went out straight away and went quicker than me. It was my bad with the damage on the start, I was just trying to get through the field,” he said.
“We handed it over, did a seamless drive change, it was awesome, Tyler went out and smoked them.”
It continued a fine run of form for Everingham after his first Formula 4 win last month.
“It was pretty exciting,” he said of the series win.
“We got a little bit of damage … so we were off to a little bit of a slow start, but we were able to pull back through and push and get the class win.
“I am not too sure (what’s next) at the moment, I will pretty much do anything - more miles make a better driver.”
