The Narromine born and raised entertainer believes he is in the best position to host the event because he has an unrivalled knowledge of the region and showbiz combined.
He started his campaign to be the host on social media last week and has already received some celebrity endorsements from fellow ABC actor Nakkiah Lui.
But he wants to let the Narromine and Dubbo communities know he’s ready and willing to take the gig.
“Look I’ll be honest, there’s not been too much traction yet, I have received two endorsements so far, both of those were from my parents so no call from TV Week (which stages the annual Logies) yet,” he joked.
NSW Tourism Minister Adam Marshall announced last week Destination NSW had submitted an Expression of Interest to Channel 9, which broadcasts the Logies, to host the event in Tamworth in 2018 followed by Dubbo and Albury.
He said hosting the event would bring tens of millions of dollars to the economies of the three cities.
Rowdie said: “If they’re going to mix it up and change the location, why not have a locally raised host. It’s the insights I’ll provide really, no other TV presenter knows more about Dubbo than I do, who else is going to do it? Scott Cam? Over my dead body.”
Rowdie has been working in television for five years now, he has attended the esteemed awards show before so he says he know’s what’s coming.

He also believes it is a great event to add to Dubbo’s list of achievements.
“It’ll be another feather in Dubbo’s cap, we’ll be known as the 2019 Logies location and we can finally ditch the ‘four Subways within walking distance notoriety,” he said.
Dubbo’s bid for the Logies gained another supporter with premier Gladys Berejiklian backing the bid when she visited the city last week.
“When I was asked I said absolutely, I’ll be the first one to get dressed up and walk the red carpet,” she told reporters.
Channel 9 is expected to make a decision on locations within the next few weeks.
