Dubbo Macquarie coach Steve McLellan said his team need to learn not to drop their heads when a play goes against them after watching them slump to a 46-14 defeat on Sunday.

McLellan said a 100-metre try by CYMS with 10 minutes to go in the first half of their match was the point where his team appeared to lose confidence and focus.
They conceded two more before the break and another soon after to put the match out of their reach.
However for the opening 20 minutes of the match, they looked capable of going with CYMS and that is what the Raiders have to take from the game, McLellan said.
Conceding a 100-metre try shouldn’t see the team put their heads down. They should have composed themselves better.

“Conceding a 100-metre try shouldn’t see the team put their heads down. They should havecomposed themselves better,” the coach said.
“Instead we let them get away and from there CYMS were just too good for us. They had all the ball in the second half so that made it tougher for us.”
It’s the third defeat for the Raiders in their first four games after losses to Forbes and Parkes but McLellan believes they can turn their season around.
