Kristy Ekert led from the front for St Pat’s with a mammoth haul of seven goals.
Saints coach Jaden Ekert said his team travelled to Lithgow on a mission to correct the errors which cost them a win against Confederates a week earlier.
His team completed that task with flying colours.
“It was perfect from the start. Our passing and our basics were something we needed to work on after last week, especially the Saturday game. It was a clinical performance,” he said.
“We wanted to make amends for last weekend. They were two games that we shouldn’t have lost.
“Hopefully with this result we’ve sent a bit of a message.”
Ekert said the brand of hockey St Pat’s displayed on Saturday would have been enough to rattle any other side in the competition.
“If we get our basics right, our passing and our structure then every game we should come close to winning it,” he said.
“We’re super fit and we’ve got the players and the quality to be able to do it. We just have to concentrate on our own jobs and not someone else’s.”
The win was a vital one for St Pat’s as it keeps the Saints locked in a four-team battle for second spot on the ladder.
Pat’s, Ex-Services, Confederates and Panthers all sit on 12 points. Bathurst City is two wins clear on 20.
