The 12-year-old had not been seen since 6pm on Wednesday when police launched an appeal on Thursday morning.
But around 9.50am, Orana Local Area Command (LAC) issued a statement on their Facebook page saying he had been found.
“Taig Thomas found safe and well,” they said.
“Thanks to all for your assistance.”
8.50am: Police have launched a desperate public appeal to help find a boy who was last seen at 6pm on Wednesday.
“Can you help us find Taig Thomas??” Orana Local Area Command (LAC) wrote on their Facebook page.
“Taig is 12 and was last seen around 6pm last night, 24/5, in Alam Street, West Dubbo.
“Taig is NOT in trouble, we want to find him to make sure he is OK.”
He was last seen wearing black trackpants, a blue hoodie and a white Delroy High School shirt.
Taig is described as Aboriginal in appearance, between 130 and 150 centimetres tall, with brown hair and brown eyes.
