KURT Eather, Justin Brooks, Heather Ticehurst and brothers Mitch and Trent Hines were the general classification winners following Saturday’s mini tour on the Wongarbon course for round six of the Dubbo City Toyota Road Racing Series.

The annual Wongarbon Mini Tour is comprised of three stages – a 7.1km prologue, 24.3km graded scratch race and 24.5km graded handicap on the undulating course.
Eather recorded the fastest time in the A-grade prologue (10 minutes 44 seconds; average speed 40.81km/hour) ahead of Adam Mitchell (+2 seconds) in second and Chris Couper (+5 seconds in third), with the youngster then taking out the A-grade 24.3km scratch race (36 minutes 23.870 seconds; average speed 40.06km/hour) over Tim Hines (second), Luke Ensor (third), Couper (fourth) and Mike Ticehurst (fifth).
Eather was also this winner of the A-grade 24.5km graded handicap (38 minutes 31.410 seconds; average speed 38.16km/hour), edging out Luke Ensor and Tim Hines in the sprint to claim the overall general classification win after the three stages ahead of Hines and Ensor in second and third respectively.
Sam Fitzgerald clocked the quickest B-grade prologue time (11 minutes 44 seconds; average speed 37.33km/hour) ahead of Brendan Davies (+14 seconds) and Craig May (+23 seconds), while a perfectly timed sprint from Vaughn Eather (37 minutes 28.115 seconds; average speed 38.91km/hour) saw him win the second stage scratch race ahead of Brooks and Fitzgerald.
Brooks claimed the sprint in the handicap ahead of Eather and Darrell Wheeler and in doing so took out the general classification ahead of Vaughn Eather (second), Darrell Wheeler (third), Fitzgerald (fourth) and May (fifth). Heather Ticehurst showed strong form to win the C-grade prologue (12 minutes 55 seconds; average speed 33.91 seconds) ahead of Tom Mannix (+6 seconds) and Julia Mannix (+9 seconds), as well as taking out the C-grade handicap (46 minutes 51.090 seconds; average speed 31.38km/hour) ahead of Lachie Clark and Julia Mannix. Maurice Ashford scored in the C-grade scratch race (41 minutes 27.113 seconds) over Clark and Ticehurst, but it was Ticehurst who took top honors in the general classification over Clark, Ashford, Julia Mannix and Tom Mannix.
