Police say a woman – an employee of the Western Star Hotel – had returned to her car when a man approached her vehicle, opened the door, threatened and assaulted her and made off with an amount of cash.
The man is described as average height with a medium build, Aboriginal in appearance and with a distinctively long rat’s tail.

EARLIER: A woman has been transported to Dubbo Hospital this morning following a reported assault at an Erskine Street car park.
A spokesperson for the Ambulance Service NSW said the woman, believed to be in her 30s, had reportedly been the victim of assault.
The call came at approximately 11.30am Monday morning.
An early report suggested the woman pulled up in the car park when a man approached her vehicle and opened the door.
The condition of the woman is unknown.
