The powerful ball-runner has only played four matches since making the move to Dubbo from the Brisbane region but he has quickly become on of the go-to men in the side.
And after starting at breakaway each time so far for the Roos, in Saturday night’s derby against the Dubbo Rhinos he will start at outside centre.
The thought of Lolohea, who trampled would-be tacklers in the 96-17 win over CSU, getting some open space and the chance to wind up is a fearsome one.
With a couple out we've now got the chance to see what he can do.
- Dean Matthews on Sione Lolohea
“Sione came from Caboolture as a centre and breakaway so with a couple out we’ve now got the chance to see what he can do,” Roos coach Dean Matthews said.
“He asked for a go at centre and we’ll back him.”
With Viliame Turuva moving to the number 10 jersey, there is every chance to Roos will be playing with more speed on Saturday night and Lolohea is one of the players who could benefit most.
