But the Dubbo branch of Macquarie Regional Library is hoping to make it all a little bit easier, with a NSW Fair Trading presentation on Tuesday.
The presentation, which will be held at 11am is a free event.
It will contain practical advice for shoppers, such as how to report an online trading scam to the authorities.
The visit by NSW Fair Trading is part of National Law Week from May 15 to 21. The theme is law and justice in the community.
It will also include a visit by a Justice of the Peace on Wednesday, between 10 am and 12pm, as well as 4pm and 6pm.
A Justice of the Peace is authorised to certify, witness and sign statuary declarations, affidavits and to certify documents, such as those related to immigration or the Australian Tax Office.
To make an appointment with the justice of the peace phone the Dubbo library.
