Branch lending manager Vanessa Muddiman and assistant branch manager Sam Theobald presented the cheque to headspace Dubbo’s Rachel Thomas and Nic Steepe.
“It’s great to support such a community focused and essential organisation and enhance our footprint within the community,” Ms Muddiman said.
headspace Dubbo program manager Rachel Thomas said the centre was pleased to have received the cheque.
“Our service was over the moon when we received confirmation from Newcastle Permanent that headspace Dubbo would be receiving our first Introducer Program cheque for the amount of $600,” she said.
“We are honoured to have the local community choose headspace Dubbo to receive this donation each time a loan is approved.
Ms Thomas said the cheque would greatly assist with the cost of our upcoming Yarning Circle Group.
“The Yarning Circle group is a partnership between headspace Dubbo and local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander business, Yummy Yarn and Co., to learn croqueting and mindfulness techniques which will be launched in the School Term 3,” she said.
