Security Code, the least experienced horse in the race, is favoured to win the $7,500 Bedgerebong Picnic Cup (1400m) in front of what should be a bumper crowd on Saturday.

The Rodney Robb-trained Security Code has only started 14 times but has already won four races including the recent Picnic Cups at Tottenham and Bourke and between those wins was second behind smart galloper Kyrgios in a big field at a Coonamble TAB meeting.
Talented jockey Maddison Wright is travelling from the south coast to ride Security Code for Nyngan’s Robb, who last won the Bedgerebong Picnic Cup with Azarax in 2014.
Trained at Harden by Mark Cummins, Sergeant Bilko, winner of nine races from 75 starts, was runner-up to Security Code at Bourke and will have the NSW Picnic Jockeys premiership winner Ricky Blewitt from Narromine in the saddle.
A noted front runner, Sergeant Bilko won the recent Tullibigeal Cup for the second year in succession and this season has also finished second in the Picnic Cups at Trangie, Condobolin, Crookwell and Bourke.
Canberra jockey Samara Johnson rode four winners at the Trangie Picnics and at Bedgerebong is booked for the Scott Spackman-trained Black Fusion,a seven time winner with more $100,000 in prizemoney won to date. Black Fusion was a good second in the recent Cootamundra Picnic Cup.
Gulgong’s Brett Thompson, winner of the Central Districts Trainers premiership, won the 2015 Bedgerebong Picnic Cup with Saturlina and this year has the well-performed Fairisle Miss engaged.
There is six races on the card at Bedgerebong with racing at 1.30pm while the Cup feature jumps at 4pm.
