She was taken to Orange Hospital and has been reported to be in a stable condition.
The driver of the other vehilce, a 55-year-old male, only sustained minor injuries.

A person was flown to hospital by helicopter after being injured in a two-car crash near Neurea, outside Wellington on Thursday afternoon
Police said around 4pm there had been no fatalities by that stage.
The accident took place about 16.5km south of Wellington on the Mitchell Highway near the Dripstone Road turnoff.
Authorities set up contra-flow on the highway, allowing traffic to move in one direction at a time.
