The member of the 313 (City of Dubbo) Squadron performed Amazing Grace solo towards the end of the service, before the Last Post was sounded.
“I enjoyed it. It was nerve-wracking to begin with but the adrenaline kicked it. I think the veterans enjoyed it,” he said.
He said he was honoured to have been selected and was surprised by the size of the crowd who turned out to pay their respects.
“It’s a great turnout for a city like Dubbo. It’s very important and I’m pleased to see the city supports it,” he said.
Warrant Officer Catto said he thought it was important for members of 313 Squadron to be involved with the Anzac Day march and service, and said even the youngest members understood the importance of the commemoration and the day.
