Ms Hanna was given the go ahead to fund-raise to purchase the swing after a meeting with Dubbo Regional Council on Wednesday.
The community campaigner and owner of Allabilitiesdanz wasted no time getting organised, despite having until October to get the funds.
She has formed a committee with Cam Luckie and Lyn Barnes to achieve the funding goal and has already come up with a number of ideas to generate funds.
Ms Hanna received her first $1000 dollars just an hour after getting the go-ahead, with Leading Edge Computers getting on board.
On day one of the Gofundme campaign, $200 had been received and Ms Hanna said she was hoping more people in Dubbo would get on board.
“The support of the community gave me the courage to start this campaign, so for me personally I cant thank everyone enough,” she said.
“It doesn’t matter how much anyone donates, every dollar makes a difference and if everyone donates a few dollars, we can reach this target and help give disabled children in Dubbo a reason to smile.
