There was a solid roll-up of regular players as well as some new players and a number of families helped to make the day a great success.
Play commenced at 11am and after a barbecue break at lunch it continued throughout the afternoon.
The mini nets were available for young children as well as games and other activities. The weather was clear and warm, leaving a number of players, even some regulars, exhausted by the end of the day.
With tennis the kind of sport which can be played throughout most of a lifetime, Muller Park showcased that with ages varying from just two years old to almost 82 at the courts on Sunday. Beginners are also always welcome at the club.
Some young mothers have expressed interest in their children playing on Wednesday afternoons between 3.30-5.30pm. This would be an informal practice session and the mini nets would also be available. This is due to commence in Term 2 and anyone interested can call Robyn on 0429722983 for more information.
Wednesday tennis for ladies is also on from 9.30-11am on Wednesday mornings while regular social tennis is played each Sunday commencing at 1pm.
As always, newcomers are welcome to attend and have a hit with the regular crowd.
