Darciwood took out the $20,000 Coonamble Flying (1100m) on Monday afternoon in her first start for the Bendemeer trainer since making the move from the care of Peter and Will Hulbert.
Darciwood ($5.50) enjoyed a solid start from barrier five as Touch Sensitive ($3.80 favourite) led from Shadow Force ($21) and One Last Poet ($8.50).
As the field entered the home, Luke Cumberland and Darciwood sat in fourth and after peeling a little wider they flew down the home straight with an powerful last 200m setting up the one-and-three-quarter length win.
Touch Sensitive was second while Shadow Force, in a glimpse of his form of old, was a further length back in third.
The New Zealand-born Darciwood now has five wins from 24 career starts.
