Organiser Rod Fardell couldn’t thank the committee, sponsors and participants enough for all of their support.
Mr Fardell described the day as “absolutely fantastic”.
He said there was always a big lead up to these type of events, with the committee working 12 months out.
The Titan Macquarie Mud Run has a committee of 18 and there were over 100 volunteers giving their time on the day.
It is also a full on week for the committee and volunteers as they start setting up the course a week out and commence packing up as soon as the last person finishes and finish everything by Sunday.
One of the things that stood out for Mr Fardell at this years Titan Macquarie Mud Run was the teamwork from everyone involved in the day.
“The first thing was the committee’s teamwork. They put everything together and get that whole block set up, which is just huge,” he said.
“On the other side of the coin was everyone who participated. It was just amazing. They were on a high from the get go. It’s always a good feeling.”

Mr Fardell said the Mud Run was for everyone.
“Anyone can do it … there’s that initial trepidation that you have to be super fit, but you don’t. People are welcome to walk it if they want to,” he said.
Mr Fardell said there were about 50 people participating in the elite challenge which kicked off approximately 8am.
A few surprises obstacles for participants this year was the monkey bar hooks, the big slide and Mud Mania at Regand Park, which Mr Fardell described as having “an extra bundle of mud.”
Mr Fardell said it was great to see participants high-fiving and talking about the course once they had completed it.
“You’re just in a total buzz,” he said.
Mr Fardell said normally with these type of events people come form within two to three hours of the catchment, but for the 2017 Titan Macquarie Mud Run, participants came from as far as the central coast, Tamworth and Molong.
While the committee will be taking a much deserved couple of months break, Mr Fardell said the next phase will be working with the treasurer on planning some community work.
“I’d like the committee to take a break for a couple of months first and then we’ll go back into the planning phase (for next years event),” he said.
Mr Fardell wanted to thank the volunteers who assisted, the committee members and participants for a great day.
