Direct from London’s West End, the show boasts some of the most iconic hits of the stage, brought to life by an international cast.
“It’s taking the hits that everyone knows and loves and putting them in one show,” cast member Ciarán Olohan said.
“It’s a great mix and we … are fairly confident that there’ll be something for everybody, young and old.”
It’s the first time World of Musicals has toured Australia, and Mr Olohan said the cast is “absolutely beyond excited”.
Trained at the Royal Irish Academy of Music, Mr Olohan has featured in Don Giovanni, Guys and Dolls, and Oklahoma! to name a few and recently toured North America with Celtic Nights – Spirit of Freedom. It all started with Les Misérables.
“My parents brought me to see it in the West End when I was eight years old so it’s a real treat to get to perform the songs that I love so much,” he said.
The show also features big theatre company songs from The Lion King, Jersey Boys, Cabaret, and Wicked, as well as stunning solo and duet numbers from The Phantom of the Opera, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Chicago and Cats.
The World of Musicals plays the Dubbo Regional Theatre on Tuesday, April 11. Contact the theatre box office on 6801 4378 for more information.
