The action begins with the foursomes on Monday, before the golfers do battle over three days in the NSW Senior Amateur Championships.
Dubbo’s Chris Tongue will be part of the stellar field and Bathurst Golf Club’s general manager Brad Constable is excited for his facility to be thrust into the golfing limelight.
“Basically it’s a blue ribbon event for Golf NSW, for it’s seniors. It has attracted players from across Australia as well as a guy from Royal Auckland in New Zealand,” he said.
“It’s probably the biggest event on the seniors calendar in NSW, a lot of the guys who come for this follow the tour as well. We are certainly going to have world class golfers here.
“This will showcase our course and facilities to a much broader audience. It’s a bit of a coup, that’s for sure.”
