The Chris Waller-trained Winx made light work of the heaviest track possible in her defence of the Group One George Ryder Stakes at Rosehill, winning by a dominant seven-and-one-quarter lengths.
Waller was left in awe of his star as she scored her 11th Group 1 win while Bowman continues to be one of her biggest fans.
"She's just so special. I'm at a loss to explain it," the former Bathurst-based apprentice said.
"There is a great deal of responsibility to be involved with her but with that comes a great deal of confidence.
"My only worry is am I going to get on her, canter to the gates one day and feel that engine just isn't there.
“I feel like she is in the prime of her career. I expected more tempo early but I knew on the way to the barriers she meant business today."
There were suggestions she could be vulnerable over 1500 metres with Chautauqua and Le Romain, both outstanding gallopers in their own right, given some support in the lead-up.
But the convincing nature of the win told otherwise.
"She is unbelievable," Waller said.
"I can't explain it. We try to do our part to make sure she is ready on the day.
"It's a huge responsibility and one we take seriously."
Winx was at $1.15 early in the week but jumped at $1.26 with Chautauqua $9 and Le Romain $10.
Having his first start at 1500 metres, champion sprinter Chautauqua finished one-and-one-quarter lengths back in third but the placegetters struggled to make any impression in the straight as Winx set sail for home.
Glyn Schofield said Le Romain had proved himself against all but Winx.
"He ran a super race," he said.
"He put a margin on Chautauqua who was close to him last start so it was an improved performance today but unfortunately not good enough to beat her."
Waller was delighted after the win, with the George Ryder arguably one of Winx’s most impressive give the pressure, conditions and calibre of horses she was up against.
"It's amazing just to have a horse that is so well received," Waller said.
"Wet tracks, dry tracks, all distances ... she can overcome them all."
The win also sent Winx’s career prizemoney earnings crashing through the $10 million barrier.
Winx will head to the $4 million Queen Elizabeth Stakes on April 8 at Randwick and she will again be certain to take the eyes of the nation with her.
